"Whatever Happened To...": Urban Flow

Urban Flow is the group responsible for the 1996 megahit "Miss Pakipot" from the album "Test the Flow" under OctoArts . That album ruled the airwaves at that time with singles such as "Balaleng" and "Lumayo ka". The group released two more albums entitled Ghetto Celebs and Mass Comm still under the same label. In 2003 the group’s fourth album entitled Magik Kaway now under Viva Records was supposed to be released but for unknown reason the record label never put it out on the market.Since then the members went on different solo projects. Dj Arbie 1 also known as the Beatraveler can now be seen doing solo gigs & with the Harcore group Pamilia Dimagiba. Then Sunny Blaze together with Mista Blaze formed the Ilonggo Rap duo Ill Pride. Now the questions: Did they already disband? , Can we expect another album from the original rap balladeers?

Maria Herrera a.k.a Cypha-Sis

The Godess you are seeing right know is Maria Herrera the model and the FHM Babe for the Month of July. But who would have thought that this Gorgeous and Sexy Young Lad is also the female emcee formerly known as Cypha-Sis who is a member of the all female rap group named Heaven Sent. It was year 1999 when Cypha-sis appeared on the independently produced compilation of Bomb Ass Productions entitled
Fo the Luv of It featuring fellow independent rap artist like Rapskallion, Flipjoint, Holla Fame to name a few and if I’m not mistaken she is the only female emcee that has a solo track on that album and the title is
“Funk Shop”.She together with Heaven Sent was also included on the Classic Dj Arbie produced United Freestyles vol. I Mixtape, Then was featured on El Latino's- Young & Dangerous album and that is the last time we heard of Cypha-Sis and Heaven Sent. According on her interview aside from modeling she is currently working on an album but it is not clear if it’s gonna be a hip-hop/rap album. So lets just watch out for that album not just on Maria’s Body. -EB

Taong '96 nang lumabas ang album ni H-Bom. Akala ko nung unang kita ko medyo Gangsta ang tugtugan ala Death Threat kasi Hardcore ang suot nila at may baril pa sa cover. Laking gulat ko na lang ng marinig ko sa radyo na "This is the 1st single from H-Bom, entitled "Misteryoza.." Di pa sila gangstahan kundi mala- Urban Flow din pala bagsakan.. Pumatok din ang first album ng H-bom at kasabayan ng Urban Flow at SVC, sila ang mga nanguna sa eksena nung '96 to 99. Naka apat na album din sya sa at tuluyan na din nag migrate sa U.S around 2000. So ang tanong...ASAN na ba si Sketch aka H-Bom ??? Well sa tulong ng internet eto at nakita namin siya sa Youtube na nag ra-Rap pa rin..yun nga lang mga covers na lang ni Usher at Montell Jordan ang binabanatan !!
